Season 1 introduced audiences to the love stories of Claire and Jamie’s parents. In the upcoming season, the couples find themselves divided once again as the Scottish Highlands are torn apart by the 1715 Jacobite Rising. Brian and his cousin Murtagh must return to Castle Leathers, pledging to fight alongside Brian’s father, the cunning Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat.
Ellen reluctantly heads back to Castle Leoch, where her brothers, Colum and Dougal, are at odds over their response to the uprising.
